It’s been a hot minute since I’ve been able to make a meaningful post, which is something I’m hoping to amend soon. It’s release week for Blood of the True Believer, so as you might understand, I’m finding myself a little busy. If you follow me on Instagram (@OuyangDan) or Facebook (@brandannrhillmann) you might have seen my Countdown to Release Day playlist, made by my friend Jacki.

To make use of this moment I have here, I want to remind you that if you read and enjoy a book, especially by a new or indie author, to please review it. Reviews help authors gain visibility, and help readers find new books they might enjoy. It’s the absolute best way to support your favorite author without spending a single penny. If you don’t remember what those are, check the counter at the gas station or ask a Gen X-er.
Leaving a starred review is simple enough on sites like Goodreads and Amazon or Barnes & Noble. Honestly, anywhere people look for book recommendations or buy books is great. Goodreads and Amazon reviews don’t need to be especially insightful or eloquent. A simple “I liked it!” will suffice, and if you’re up for it, maybe add a reason why. If you do want to write a more extensive review, post links to it on your social media.
Reviewing can be as easy as you want it to be, and really helps authors stay motivated to keep putting out content that you enjoy.
